Larry K. Berdugo

CH.F.C., CFP, CLU
Certified Financial Planner (CFP) | Estate, Tax & Investment Planning
With more than 30 years in the financial services industry, Larry Berdugo brings extensive experience, practical insight and a highly personal approach to helping clients navigate important financial decisions.
Larry’s connection to financial planning is personal. After losing his father unexpectedly at a young age without life insurance in place, Larry experienced firsthand the impact that a lack of financial planning can have on a family. That experience ultimately shaped his career and his belief that good financial advice should be practical, understandable and built around the realities of each client’s life.
Since entering the financial services industry in 1988, Larry has worked with professionals, business owners, executives and high-net-worth families on a wide range of financial planning needs, with particular expertise in estate, tax, insurance and investment planning strategies.
Larry holds the Chartered Financial Consultant (Ch.F.C.), Certified Financial Planner (CFP) and Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) designations. Over the course of his career, he has also qualified for the Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT) and has been invited to share his knowledge with fellow professionals, including speaking at the Advocis Annual Conference for insurance and financial advisors and at the Financial Forum. Larry is a member of the Conference for Advanced Life Underwriting (CALU), an organization that brings together leading financial and insurance professionals from across Canada. CALU provides a forum for members to exchange advanced ideas and strategies in areas such as estate, tax and financial planning, while also representing the interests and perspectives of the financial advisory community with Members of Parliament and federal government departments.
A significant part of Larry’s career has also been devoted to working with and developing other advisors. He has trained and mentored many financial professionals over the years and is frequently approached by other advisors to work jointly on cases where his specialized knowledge and experience can help them address more complex client needs. Today, Larry also serves as the administrator and manager of Midtown Wealth, the Investia–IA Private Wealth office at Yonge and Eglinton in Toronto. In this role, he provides leadership, guidance and support to advisors and staff while helping oversee the efficient day-to-day operation of the investment office.
Despite his years of experience and professional credentials, Larry believes financial planning should never feel unnecessarily complicated. His approach is straightforward: understand what matters to the client, identify the opportunities and potential risks, and develop practical strategies that make sense both today and over the long term.
For Larry, financial planning is ultimately about more than investments, insurance or tax strategies. It is about helping people make informed decisions, protect what they have built and create greater confidence about their financial future.
